Move More Month 2023

Olympic Legacy in Action

As part of Move More Month 2023, Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park in partnership with Westfield Health is hosting the second ‘Olympic Legacy in Action’ event following the successful inaugural event last year which celebrated the 10th anniversary of London 2012 and saw over 2000 people visit the Park and get involved.

Hosted at various venues across the Park, including the English Institute of Sport Sheffield, iceSheffield, Oasis Academy Don Valley and the Community Stadium

The event will take place on Saturday 17 June with the huge Community Event, which will take place from 11am to 4pm. The event will be completely free of charge and is open for everyone of all ages and abilities to attend and get involved.

Visitors to the Community Event will be able to take part in taster sessions for a variety of sports and activities including rugby, basketball, netball, football, cricket, chairobics, weightlifting, canoeing, climbing, cycling, snooker, coached running sessions and many more. Last year the Community Event saw an estimated 1000 people visit the park with over 30 organisations delivering activities across the site.
