Move More Month 2023
As part of Move More Month 2023 The Olympic Legacy in Action event returns to Sheffield on Saturday 17 June 2023.
The event will take place from 11am to 4pm and the event will be completely free of charge and is open for everyone of all ages and abilities to attend and get involved.
Visitors to the Community Event will be able to take part in taster sessions for a variety of sports and activities including rugby, basketball, netball, football, cricket, chairobics, weightlifting, canoeing, climbing, cycling, snooker, coached running sessions and many more.
Move More Month 2021
Move More Month 2021 sees Sheffield bring Beat The Street to the city.
A citywide interactive game for everyone to get involved in with 450 Beat Boxes across the entire City.

Move More Month 2022
For Move More Month 2022 we celebrated 10 years since the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games with a weekend event at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park. See the infographic below for the weekend’s highlights.
MovE More Month 2020
Move More Month 2020 was different given we were in the midst of a global pandemic.
However, that didn’t stop us trying to get Sheffield to Move More.
Instead we changed our approach;
We distributed 50,000 Move More Month Activity Calendars
Launched a social media campaign with inspirational local residents
Our GP, Schools and Inclusive Sport Leads took on 3 gruelling cycling challenges!
Move More Month 2019
Move More Month 2019 saw us attempt and break a Guinness World Record for the most people playing hopscotch simultaneously.
We invited a whole host of people down from schools, workplaces, universities and charities to take part in an action packed morning which culminated in 622 people break the world record!
The rest of the month was spent encouraging people to get as active as possible and registering how active they were with the Move More app which culminated in a fantastic awards evening celebrating the efforts of all of those that took part!
Move more month 2018
The City Playground! To raise awareness of Move More and the month of June we worked in collaboration with a number of partners to install Move More Hopscotch in prominent locations across the City.
Locations included Millennium Square, Peace Gardens, Sheffield Train Station and the Olympic Legacy Park among many others.
In addition we moved into the second year of the Move More Challenge , with workplaces competing against one another to be the most active workplace in Sheffield.
