What is it?
Sheffield City Council and the Lawn Tennis Association are working in partnership with Parks Tennis to bring you Tennis coaching and brand new courts from only £5. We are encouraging people to dust off their rackets and get down to our coaching sessions.
Tennis Sheffield is a joint project between Sheffield City Council, Parks Tennis CIC and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). The aim is to encourage local residents to try tennis, by making court and coaching bookings as accessible and affordable as possible.
Coaching sessions for all ages and skill levels take place during the week, with more sessions being added every month. The subsidised cost makes it one of the most affordable ways to play and discover the sport.
How does it work?
You can book a court from as little as £3 if playing with a child, you can book onto one of the many coaching sessions across the city from £5 or treat yourself or a loved one to a Parks Tennis Pass which includes courts from £1 and coaching sessions.
For more information on all of the above please visit the website www.tennissheffield.com
“After picking up a racket again after 10 years I was very nervous and unsure of my tennis ability. When I arrived to an Adult Beginners coaching session, the coach Luis made me feel at ease straight away he was extremely friendly and encouraging throughout the session. I am so glad I booked that session and I haven’t looked back since!”
Who is it for?
Tennis in the parks is for everyone!
There are no age restrictions and any ability can come along. Equipment is available at our coaching sessions so no need to worry about that.
